David Danielson is the managing director of Breakthrough Energy Ventures and the former assistant secretary of energy efficiency and renewable energy at the U.S. Department of Energy under President Obama.

Joel Moxley is a Precourt Energy Scholar and Adjunct Professor at Stanford University. He currently teaches Stanford Climate Ventures (ENERGY 203). Joel received his B.S.E in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute for Technology. He is a partner at Echelon and a member of the investment team of Breakthrough Energy Ventures.

Jane Woodward is a founder and Managing Partner at WovenEarth Ventures and an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, where she has taught energy and environment since 1991. She is a founding partner of MAP Energy, which invested early in natural gas, wind, solar, and energy storage. Jane earned her B.A. in Geology from UCSB, an M.S. in Applied Earth Science, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

David McColl is the Executive Director of Stanford Climate Ventures. He received a B.S. in Management Science & Engineering and an M.S. in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University. He is an Adjunct Professor in Energy Resources Engineering, a research fellow at the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy & Finance, and a partner at Echelon.
